FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour
Coca-Cola challenged us to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience around the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.
Football is the world’s most popular sport, and the FIFA World Cup™ is the sport’s most watched competition. We extended the excitement around the FIFA World Cup™ by making Coca-Cola’s sponsorship of the event more meaningful to fans.
Our goal was to turn the World Cup into the World’s Cup by creating inclusive, participatory and accessible events all across the world for football fans everywhere. For the third time, we took the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy on a tour around the world – touching 2 million fans in 90 countries on six continents. These fans – many of whom don’t even have television access to watch the World Cup™ games – stood face to face and took a picture with the iconic trophy, participated in Active Healthy Living activities, witnessed a cutting-edge hologram, and experienced welcome celebrations with football freestylers and Brazilian dancers.
Fans also got to celebrate their passion for football – all through Coca-Cola. Brand love grew, countless stories were made and the world’s Cup united the globe.
