HAVAS S&E BRINGS GILLETTE'S CHALLENGE WITHOUT LIMITS TO LIFE
With the help of Havas Sports & Entertainment, Gillette welcomed three world renowned football stars to the city of Valencia, Spain, for the Gillette Challenge without Limits.
Hosted at the City of Arts and Sciences, one of the most modern and spectacular architectural complexes, last Wednesday May 12 the Gillette Challenge without Limits brought together 100 guests and media to witness the day's events.
As part of the Challenge without Limits, football players Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez faced-off in a challenge of skill, which consisted of each of them trying to score the most goals while keeping their kick as precise as possible to help them attain the highest scores. The shooting point was placed at 15 meters high, on the terrace of the Principe Felipe Museum. The goal was situated on a vertical structure, 35 meters away. Under these extreme circumstances and with gusts of wind as well, Henry came out on top as the winner of the challenge. The Spanish football star Kaká, who was also invited to the event, presented the winner with a check from Gillette for the value of 1000 football kits to be donated to Latin American youth.
Following the challenge, a press conference welcomed key media from Spain, Mexico, and Brazil, as they questioned the three athletes about the upcoming World cup, the Spanish Liga, the Challenge without Limits, and their thoughts on being a part of the Gillette Champions.
The event was hosted by Paulo Futre, a well-known International football figure, as the master of ceremonies.
Rounding out the evening was a session of one to one interviews with each of the Gillette Champions, in which the media had the opportunity to interview them on an individual basis.
The management and organization of the Valencia event was realized by Havas Sports & Entertainment through their local agencies in Mexico and Spain.
Havas Sports & Entertainment Mexico won the Procter & Gamble business around their World Cup promotions early this year, and will be helping roll out their football campaign "Mega G" pre and post the major event in South Africa.
